ring size guide

Figuring out your ring size can feel like a bit of a puzzle, but we're here to help you solve it with ease. Simply select a finger for measurement, or use one of your own rings, and let's begin.

#1

MEASURE A RING YOU OWN

Select the finger on which you envision wearing your new ring, and then choose a favorite ring that already fits comfortably on that finger.

Use the chart below to determine your ring size.

Measure the INNER diameter of the ring in millimeters (a straight line passing through the center of the circle). Our Printable Ring Sizing Guide can assist you with this step.

#2

MEASURE YOUR FINGER

Take a slender strip of paper or a length of string and wrap it comfortably around your chosen finger.

Mark the end (where it meets).

Compare the measurement to the circumference column in the conversion chart below. If it falls between two sizes, we recommend ordering the larger size.

#3

Use a Ring Sizer

The most precise method for determining your ring size involves using a ring-measurement tool, which is typically affordable and readily available online.

There are two primary types of ring-sizing tools to choose from: a Slender Measuring Tape or a Keyring featuring a range of ring sizes. The measuring tape-style ring sizer can be wrapped around your finger and adjusted using a built-in belt mechanism. On the other hand, the keyring-style ring sizer features metal loops of varying sizes, allowing you to test different sizes until you find the perfect fit. These ring sizing tools can also be handy to have on hand when shopping for rings for family members or friends.

How to Measure Your Ring Size

1. Measure at the Right Time: Measure your ring size at the end of the day when your fingers are slightly swollen, as they can change size due to temperature and activity.

2. Choose the Right Finger: Determine which finger you intend to wear the ring on, as sizes can vary between fingers. The most common choice is the ring finger of the left hand for engagement and wedding rings.

3. Consider Temperature: Keep in mind that temperature can affect your finger size. Measure at room temperature for the most accurate result.

4. Aim for a Comfortable Fit: A well-fitting ring should slide on easily but offer some resistance when coming off. It should feel snug without being too tight.

5. Consider Ring Width: Keep in mind that wider rings fit more snugly than narrower ones. You may need to go up by a quarter or half size for wider styles.
