Home

For as long as I can remember myself, I wanted a home, to feel at home. My dearest parents waited many years for a child, and it almost seemed like time was lost, but then I came into their lives. I was born on the first candle of Hanukkah, an only daughter, "miracle of the eighth day". Against all odds, I made a way, and so when I came into the world, I created my own home. My mother told me how much I loved the house. I always wanted to return home from the children's home.

In the small living room, I would lie on the couch, listen to music, and watch the clouds and the tree swaying in the breeze outside the window. I would find rare stones and arrange them in a display case. I would group flowers into a wreath. I would collect pebbles in the stream and bury them in a hidden drawer. I would root sweet potatoes in a jar on the kitchen window. But most of all, I would cherish my time with my parents.

I didn't know it at the time, but I was learning the true meaning of home. A home is more than just a place to live. It's a place of beauty, inspiration, and love. It's a source of strength and comfort. It's a place where you can be yourself and feel safe. Wherever I will go, I would always make a home for myself. It might not be a big house, but it would be a place where I could feel loved and supported. It would be a place where I could create memories that would last a lifetime.
I was born to be a goldsmith. I had a natural affinity for beauty, and I loved to arrange things in a way that was pleasing to the eye and functional. I would arrange my clothes, my books, and my garden with care. I would also express my creativity through dance, song, writing, and jewelry. I didn't know how much my life in the kibbutz, a child of home and nature, would influence my work as a goldsmith. However, I know that it was a formative experience that helped me develop my sense of beauty and appreciation for the natural world.

I gild values and memories. I gild the world's beauty, which comes in infinite forms: a seed, a stem, a cluster. I added my beloved mother in the form of a button from her sewing box in my childhood home. I add unity in the form of a wedding ring. I add longing and love in gold heart earrings.
I am a goldsmith, and I use my craft to create beautiful and meaningful jewelry. I believe that jewelry can be a way to express our values, our memories, and our love for others.

I gild my house, weaving into it all the records of my life: my great love for my husband and my daughters, my admiration for nature.
A beautiful stone I picked up on a trip to the north. Seashells from the beach were placed in a transparent saucer—dried seeds from the tree in the garden, on the shelf of the bookcase. I believe that a home is more than just a place to live. It's a place where we can express ourselves and create memories that will last a lifetime. I gild my house with the essential things to me to reflect my heart and soul.
I play with colors to wrap the couch in the living room. I hung a curtain and a picture. I place a cotton fabric pillow on the armchair on the balcony, next to the flower pots, so that the end of the day will be pleasant and beautiful to wrap myself in.

My home is like a shell that cradles its guests and visitors in the warmth of its embrace. It is a place where the smells of baking bread, laundry hanging on a line, and Friday night dinners fill the air. It is where childhood memories are made and good people who love to live gather.

A home is a shell that turns even the simplest materials into pearls.

A home is a shell where we create the jewels of our lives. These jewels are our memories, our experiences, and our relationships. They are the things that make us who we are, and they will always be with us.

A jewel is like a small house; its journey begins in the intimate home studio I created.
